The first telemetrically monitored wolf in Croatia was the female W1-Pepa that was captured and collared near Mačkovec in Dalmatia on 30 October 1998. She was a pup of the Opor pack from the 1998 litter, and that pack's territory was on the hills Opor, Praća, Ljubeč and Trištenica. The wolf was monitored for a total period of 643 days. After maturing, she left her parental pack and moved to the hill Moseć, where her signal was lost.
