On 18 July 2012, a female wolf named W28-Tona, aged 3.3 years, was captured and collared. She was monitored for two weeks before her signal was lost, and Slovenian researchers were also contacted for assistance in finding this wolf.
During August 2009, Dr. Josip Kusak, assistant professor from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, conducted activities to capture and collar wolves from the Krasno pack on Mt. Velebit in cooperation with Northern Velebit National Park and Velebit Nature Park.
On 12 September 2007, a large male named W18-Max was captured at Pogorelo Vrh in Gorski Kotar. Max was established to be three years old, and weighed 36 kg, and he was fitted with a GPS-UHF-VHF collar.
