7 March 2011 – Collared female wolf W20-Tvigi perished from impact with a vehicle near Ljubljanski Vrh in Slovenia

The female wolf W20-Tvigi was fitted with a telemetric collar on 25 September 2008 as a pup in the Suho pack, and she was monitored for 199 days, when her collar ceased to function.

Her last recorded location was in the area of Ljubljanski Vrh in Slovenia on 12 April 2009. She was hit by a vehicle in the early morning hours. Her body was examined and measured by the staff of the Slovenia Forest Service and was found to be in excellent condition, weighing 35 kg in her third year of life. The autopsy will be performed by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Ljubljana.
