8 April 2011 – Donation of electric fences to livestock owners in the Dvor municipality

On Friday, 8 April 2011, the State Institute for Nature Protection donated a total of six electric fences for the protection of livestock from wolf attacks in livestock owners in Rujevac, in the Dvor municipality of Sisak-Moslavina County. The funds for procurement of the fences were earmarked at the end of 2010 by the Institute and Nature Protection Directorate of the Ministry of Culture, as damages in that region had significantly increased. The donation was attended by Director of the State Institute for Nature Protection Davorin Marković and Section Head Jasna Jeremić, in addition to senior expert advisor of the Nature Protection Directorate Lucija Urli, staff of the Public Institute for Nature Protection of Sisak-Moslavina County: director Dragica Vugić, expert manager Kata Benac, head supervisor Ljuban Menićanin and supervisor Franjo Šklempe, and representative of Sisak-Moslavina County, Administrative Department for Environmental and Nature Protection, senior expert advisor Blanka Bobetko-Majstorović. The staff of the company Gumex-Eko demonstrated how to install the fences and instructed the livestock owners on their use.
