A week after the surgical treatment and release in the wild the female named Eva W11 is alive and active. These are the first results received from her GPS collar on 6 March 2005. Despite serious injuries Eva found strenght to move and so came down to the adjacent Imotsko polje for a while, but spent the rest of the time on the slopes of the Osoja Mountain above the place named Runović. This is an indication that she is on the way to getting well again.The inhabitants of Runovi - Sebišino are reported to have heard several wolves hawling from that direction, which makes us assume that she returned to her pack. In order to get an insight into the wolves' home range, activities and way of life some of the pack members should be monitored for at least a year and that is precisely how long the collar should last before falling off from the wolf's neck by itself.
