The meeting and project presentation in the Primorsko-goranska

A meeting and a presentation of the LIFE project on "Conservation and Management of Wolves in Croatia " were held in the premises of the County Primorsko-goranska.

The meeting in question was attended by the County representatives - Mr. Luka Denona, Deputy County Prefect, Prof. Dr. Mladen Črnjar, Manager of the Sustainable Development and Physical Planning Institute and Dr. Goran Kutnjak, Head of the Administrative Department for Economic Development, by the representatives of the State Institute for Nature Protection - Mr. Davorin Marković, the State Institute Manager, the LIFE Project Manager Ms. Ana Štrbenac and her associates Ms. Jasna Martinko, Dragan Šarić, Dr. Josip Kusak and Alojzije Frković as a chartered expert for predator damage assessment, and by livestock breeders Ivan Mihalić from Blaževci and Katarina Medved from Gorenci as donation recipients.

The meeting was also attended by mass media representatives. On that occasion all project activities and results achieved by donations of pen guardians and electric fences were presented in detail. Viewing the needs of livestock breeders in this county that exceed by far the donation funds provided for, the county was required to get involved in the activities mentioned by its own contribution.
