First electric fencing in Dalmatia installed

The first electric fencing in the territory of Dalmatia donated in the framework of the LIFE project was installed at the household of Slavko Pavlović in Lepuri Donji, near Benkovac. The event was attended by the other beneficiaries from the territory of Dalmatia, project implementation officers Ana Štrbenac, Jasna Martinko, Dragan Šarić and Nikica Skroza, as well as Ana Grgas, representative of the Farmers Association 'Rašeljka'-Benkovac, who is also a MoEPPP expert for the assessment of damage done to livestock by protected animal species.
Installing of the fence was coordinated by Mr. Mirko Devčić of the Gumex-eko Company, with active participation of the livestock breeders.
The demonstration included detailed explanations for assembling and installing of the fence, its constituent parts, handling of the fence and of the livestock kept inside the fence. The demonstration finished with a ceremony of handing over the fence to Mr. Pavlović.
