The
first electric fencing donated in the framework of the LIFE project
was installed in Oteš near Gospić,
in the household
of Nikola
Baričević. The event was attended by most beneficiaries from Lika,
who also took an active part in the installing process, with the
assistance of Mr. Devčić of the "Gumex-eko" company and
Mr. Šarić, regional project coordinator.
Upon installing the fence, Mr. Baričević signed the contract for
the usage of electric fence and obliged to regular filling of the
monitoring protocol - a form for monitoring predator (wolf) repellent
efficiency of the fence. Mr. Baričević used the opportunity to publicly
commend the LIFE III project "Conservation and Management of
Wolves in Croatia", as well as the work of its regional coordinator.
