On Monday,
12 May, a workshop on "Preparation of the Plan of Wolf Management in Croatia"
was held in which more than 40 representatives of all interest groups took place.
The workshop was conducted by Prof. Dr. Alistair Bath and Aleksandra Majiæ,
doctor of veterinary medicine. The data presented related to the knowledge of
wolves, the knowledge of the wildlife, research methods, past experience in
connection with the prevention of damage caused to domestic animals, analysis
of damage caused to domestic animals, protected areas, wolf habitats, legislation
in the field of veterinary medicine and stray dogs. It was agreed that the Plan
of Wolf Management in Croatia would be elaborated in detail at the following
workshop to be held on Tuesday, 17 June.
